South Alabama stormed back from a 14-point deficit to defeat Louisiana-Monroe 26-14 with a punishing ground attack. The Warhawks jumped ahead early on Braylon McReynolds' 29-yard touchdown run and Noah Flemmings' 42-yard fumble return, but the Jaguars responded with four unanswered rushing touchdowns. Bishop Davenport scored twice on short runs while Kentrel Bullock added two touchdowns of his own, including the final 8-yard score to secure the comeback victory.
