Jacksonville State held off a late Kennesaw State rally to secure a 35-26 victory at AmFirst Stadium. The Gamecocks built a comfortable lead behind Caden Creel's two rushing touchdowns and Gavin Wimsatt's 62-yard scoring strike to Deondre Johnson just before halftime. Despite a valiant fourth-quarter comeback effort from the Owls, led by quarterback Dexter Williams II who accounted for two late touchdowns, Garrison Rippa's clutch 27-yard field goal with just 21 seconds remaining sealed the win for Jacksonville State.
