TCU held off a resilient Houston comeback to secure a 17-14 road victory at TDECU Stadium. The Horned Frogs jumped out to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter with Josh Hoover connecting on touchdown passes to Eric McAlister and Jordan Dwyer. The Cougars battled back to tie the game at 14 with Conner Weigman finding both Amare Thomas and Dean Connors for touchdowns, but Nate McCashland's 29-yard field goal early in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference.
