James Madison demolished Texas State 52-20 in a game that quickly got out of hand after the Bobcats briefly closed the gap in the second quarter. The Dukes' quarterback Alonza Barnett III was spectacular, throwing four touchdown passes including two to Nick DeGennaro and adding a rushing score of his own. After Texas State cut the lead to 28-20 at halftime, James Madison responded with a knockout punch of 24 unanswered points, including DeGennaro's explosive 76-yard touchdown reception to open the second half.
