Recap
UCLA survived a nail-biter against UCF in the NCAA Tournament First Round, edging the Knights 75-71 at a neutral site. The Bruins dominated early, unleashing a devastating 13-1 run to build a commanding lead and eventually stretching their advantage to 14 points. UCLA looked in control at 58-44 midway through the second half, but UCF refused to quit, mounting a furious comeback behind Jordan Burks' clutch shooting. The final minute was pure chaos. Trent Perry's free throws extended UCLA's lead to 74-69 with under a minute remaining, but Burks drilled back-to-back 3-pointers to pull UCF within 74-71. Themus Fulks added a layup with five seconds left, and though Skyy Clark sealed it with a free throw, the Knights nearly completed the stunning upset. UCLA held on to advance, but this was far closer than the five-point spread suggested.
