We’re Fanstake, a passionate group of fans (and former players), obsessed with college sports. We want to make them better — more fair for the athletes, more engaging for the fans, and more sustainable for the future of the teams we love.
For years, we’ve been watching and enjoying college sports from the sidelines. But we couldn’t ignore the injustices. The occasional career ending injury. An underclassman leaving college early, only to fall short in pro leagues. Or the huge amounts of money being made by everyone but the athletes themselves. NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) was a big step in the right direction, but there's more we can do at the grassroots level.
We built Fanstake because we believe there's a path where everyone can win.
We believe athletes deserve to earn their free and fair-market value without risking their education.
We believe fans should have a say in what their teams look like.
We believe collectives should continue to have a strong voice of support and influence.
We believe coaches should be able to focus more on X's and O's vs. the dollars and cents.
We believe colleges, regardless of size or stature, should have an equal ability to compete for top talent.
It's time to level the college sports landscape. We think the best way to do this is by ushering in a new age of free-market transparency while giving fans a risk-free way to have more influence and engagement.

For years, we’ve seen huge amounts of money being made by everyone but college athletes themselves. Our mission, plain and simple, is to help athletes finally earn their fair market value.

A select group of college programs succeed year after year. They have systemic advantages that make it nearly impossible to compete. By changing the dynamics of the recruiting process, we can give any program a fighting chance at signing top talent.
