Elite two-way wing with pro-level poise and defensive bite
Vassell stands out as a high-motor, switchable wing who made his name at Florida State with elite defensive instincts, quick lateral movement, and reliable perimeter shooting—he hit over 41% from three in his Florida State seasons. In the 2020 season, scouts praised his team defense, passing-lane reads, and ability to contest without biting on fakes, while noting his creation off the dribble and rim pressure were still developing. If you want a wing who can fit almost any system and raise your team’s defensive ceiling, he’s the kind of player that makes coaches grin.
