a physical RB prospect with a safety background and upside in transition
Marcus Dawson is a UT Martin back whose value starts with versatility: he arrived as a defensive back prospect and has shown enough athleticism and toughness to draw attention in a new role. The main differentiator is his physical, hard-charging style and willingness to play through the dirty work, which can translate well to teams that want a runner who won’t shy away from contact or special-teams duties. Because the public trail is still light on college production, he reads more like a developmental fit than a finished product.
