Versatile Monmouth DB with veteran experience and special-teams value
Jabril Shakur is a seasoned Monmouth defensive back who has been in the program since 2019 and brings rare continuity, versatility, and durability to the secondary. In Monmouth’s 2022 season, he appeared in 5 games with 2 tackles and 1 tackle for loss, and his career totals show he’s been a steady, role-flexible contributor rather than a headline-stat star. At 5'11" and about 180 pounds, he profiles as a reliable depth piece with special-teams utility, football IQ, and familiarity with the system—exactly the kind of player coaches trust when they want fewer surprises and more discipline.
