Stony Brook OL Ian McLean brings veteran experience and captain-level toughness
Ian McLean is a seasoned Stony Brook offensive lineman whose value comes from reliability, leadership, and versatility along the line. In 2019, Stony Brook described him as a candidate to compete at both right tackle and left tackle, which points to the kind of flexibility coaches covet up front. His earlier résumé also includes two-time captain honors in high school, a signal of competitiveness and accountability that matters when projecting fit for a physical, detail-oriented offensive line room.
