Taylor Tomlin brings speed, contact pop, and outfield range to Long Beach State
In the 2026 season, Taylor Tomlin has been an efficient table-setter for Long Beach State, hitting .500 through his first reported at-bats with 3 runs and 3 hits, while his scouting background points to a true speed-and-defense profile: a 7.12 runner with athletic outfield actions, quick jumps, and clean hands/footwork. At 5'9", 175, he projects as a high-energy center-field type who can cover ground, pressure defenses, and provide value beyond the box score. If you want a defender who can run and keep innings alive with contact, he’s a fit.
