Khalid Jones brings veteran linebacker grit and early-career pedigree to Northwestern
In the 2022 season, Khalid Jones appeared in three games for Northwestern and logged a career-high two tackles in the Wildcats’ 43-3 win over Maryland, showing the kind of depth-linebacker reliability coaches trust. He arrived as a four-star recruit and was rated among the top linebackers in South Carolina, which still matters because his profile suggests instincts, physicality, and enough football IQ to contribute beyond the box score. The catch: his college production has been limited, and a season-ending injury in 2021 adds a durability question, so he reads more like a dependable rotational fit than a headline-stealing star.
