Boise State’s old-school edge with a hard-nosed legacy
Jarrell Root is a former Boise State defensive lineman whose calling card was toughness, consistency, and team-first buy-in; Boise State honored him with the 2011 Iron Bronco Award, a good sign he was the kind of player coaches trust in the trenches. He also earned enough respect to briefly get NFL attention with Miami after college, and local coverage later showed he stayed plugged into football as a coach in the Treasure Valley. If you want a grinder with intensity and credibility, Root’s profile screams reliability and culture fit.
