High-ceiling Missouri RHP with fast-rising arm strength
Richie Swain is an **upside-driven right-hander** for Missouri whose fastball has already been reported in the mid-80s to touching 87 mph as a prep, with evaluators noting he could reach 90+ soon and pair it with a swing-and-miss breaking ball.[1][3] The key reason to care is his projection: at 6-foot-5 and 205 pounds, he brings the kind of frame and arm speed that can turn into real weekend-starter value if the command and secondary pitches keep sharpening.[2][3] Missouri also lists him on its roster, but his 2026 season notes say he did not see game action and received a redshirt, so he remains more of a long-term bet than an immediate impact arm.[5]
