Jim Schroeder brings veteran Valpo pedigree, but he is not a current DL prospect
Jim Schroeder is not currently a Valparaiso Beacons defensive lineman; reliable listings identify him as a former Valpo offensive lineman who later became a coach, including head coach at Benedictine. He was a three-year starter at Valpo and earned All-Pioneer Football League honors plus Honorable Mention Mid-Major All-American recognition, which points to toughness, durability, and football IQ. If you’re evaluating him for a roster fit, the profile suggests coaching-acumen and trench savvy rather than a current playing résumé.
