Russ Martin gives Little Rock a polished righty with strike-throwing feel and a deep pitch mix
Russ Martin is a 2025 right-handed pitcher at Little Rock-style profile who stands out for advanced mound poise, a clean arm action, and a four-pitch mix that plays with deception rather than overpowering velocity. Prep Baseball Report notes an 84-85 mph fastball with heavy movement and command to both sides, plus a sharp 73-75 curveball, 77-79 changeup, and 75-76 slider that all show swing-and-miss traits. He looks like a fit for a staff that values strike-throwing, versatility, and pitchability over raw radar-gun numbers.[3]
