The Redbirds’ gritty lead-blocking fullback
McCloyn has long been valued at Illinois State as a physical, assignment-sound fullback who helps unlock the run game, and he earned All-MVFC recognition in 2021 for that work. In the 2021 season, he had 4 carries for 9 yards, while Illinois State’s rushing attack leaned on his lead-blocking and toughness more than splashy box-score numbers. If a team wants a tone-setter who embraces the dirty work, brings veteran reliability, and has a reputation for steady production and strong academics, he fits the mold.
