Jalen Young brings proven playmaking and ball production to FAU’s back end
Jalen Young is a **ball-hawking safety** for Florida Atlantic who has built a reputation for impact plays, with ESPN listing him at **13 career interceptions**, **179 solo tackles**, and **4 forced fumbles**; that production points to range, instincts, and a willingness to trigger downhill in run support.[3] FAU’s roster lists him as a 5-11 safety, and his profile suggests a defender who can stabilize the secondary, fit multiple coverages, and add toughness rather than just chase box-score tackles.[4] If you want a safety who can create turnovers and play with urgency, he fits the mold.
