Tyler Wedel brings veteran leg strength and pin-back precision to NIU
In the 2014 season, Tyler Wedel ranked seventh in the MAC with a 41.7-yard punting average, pinned opponents inside the 20 on 29 punts, and did not allow a single touchback, which is exactly the kind of hidden-value profile coaches love in a field-position punter.[8] His game is about consistency, placement, and pop—he also had 15 punts of 50-plus yards and a career-long 66-yarder, suggesting a leg that can flip the field when needed.[8]
