Mizzou’s redshirt rocket arm: Connor Jones brings a swing-and-miss pedigree
Connor Jones is a 6-3, 210-pound right-hander from Houston who redshirted in the 2026 season without game action, but Missouri still brought him in with a strong reputation for missing bats and a high-end amateur résumé that included unanimous first-team all-state honors, Pitcher MVP recognition, and his high school’s all-time strikeout record. He looks like a developmental upside play: physical, strikeout-oriented, and the kind of arm teams bet on if they want future velocity, conviction, and a starter’s ceiling more than immediate innings.
