Tommy Googins is Princeton’s glove-first, gap-to-gap spark with sneaky pop
In the 2026 season, Tommy Googins emerged as a valuable two-way infielder for Princeton, earning All-Ivy honorable mention after leading the Tigers in conference batting average at .328 while also flashing real defensive value with team-best assist totals and 19 double plays turned. The 6-foot-3 right-handed junior/senior profile brings athletic length, steady infield hands, and enough offensive punch to punish mistakes—he homered against NC State and added six doubles, a triple, and three homers overall. He looks like a fit for a team that wants a tough, high-IQ infielder who can handle pressure and contribute without needing the spotlight.
