JJ Pina brings compact, reliable infield depth to Cal Poly
JJ Pina is a junior infielder for Cal Poly in the 2026 season, listed at 5-foot-6 and right-handed at the plate and in the field, with a redshirt season already on her résumé[1][2]. Her 2024 line showed promising contact ability in limited action, hitting .333 with a .538 slugging percentage and an .871 OPS, which points to a bat that can do a little damage when she’s on[3]. The fit appeal is straightforward: she looks like a steady, roster-versatile infield piece with experience, and her redshirt year suggests Cal Poly values her long-term development[1][2].
