Stire enters West Virginia as a freshman punter with a strong specialist profile: at Morgantown High, he averaged 39 yards per punt as a senior, hit 33 touchbacks on 40 kickoffs with 3.8-second hang time, and earned the 2024 Groza Award as the Ohio Valley’s top specialist.[3] He also showed rare all-around value with a 48-yard long field goal and first-team all-state honors as a punter and soccer defender.[3][5] For WVU, that combination of leg strength, accuracy, and hometown toughness makes him a developmental fit with real long-term special-teams upside.[3][13]
