James Minot brings rare position versatility and steady reliability to Portland State’s front line
In the 2025 season, James Minot started all 12 games for Portland State and moved across both guard spots and center, which screams trust factor for an offensive line coach. At 6-foot-2 and 290 pounds, he isn’t the biggest mauler in the room, but his value is versatility, athleticism, and dependability; Portland State’s staff even called him “the most athletic center” they’d seen in years. He also earned first-team all-league honors at College of San Mateo, so the résumé says he can win battles and keep improving.
