Eriquel Florence brings size, speed, and versatile linebacker instincts to Arizona State
Florence’s calling card is **versatility**: Arizona State has long described him as a physical defender who can play multiple linebacker spots, with strong instincts, size, speed, and a reported 4.6-second 40-yard dash. That profile makes him appealing for a defense that wants an athletic, assignment-sound LB who can move, diagnose quickly, and fit different fronts without telegraphing coverage. The main reason to care: he offers the kind of range-and-instinct blend that can elevate a unit’s flexibility, not just pad tackle totals.
