Lamar’s Cornerback with Upside and a Clean Evaluation Trail
Branden Thomas is a Lamar Cardinals cornerback listed on ESPN’s 2026 roster, but the available public record does not provide recent statistical production, so the most reliable read is that he remains an evaluation piece rather than a proven stat leader.[5] For a team, that means the appeal is upside and projection: if he shows sticky coverage, quick trigger support, and special-teams value in camp, he could be a fit, but there is not enough sourced evidence here to label him as an impact-ready defender yet.[5]
