Connor Hutchinson is giving Ball State a live arm with starter upside
In the 2025 season, Connor Hutchinson showed a power-armed righty profile for Ball State, including a win as a starter at Sacramento State and a summer no-hitter for the Alexandria Aces that featured seven strikeouts in seven innings. His differentiator is swing-and-miss stuff with fearless strike-throwing when he’s on, but the stat line also shows some volatility, so he looks more like a high-upside fit for a team that can develop command than an instant plug-and-play ace. The vibe: competitive, usable, and just a little bit spicy.
