dynamic, crafty guard who can run an offense and score in bunches
Appleby is a high-usage lead guard whose best trait is creation: in his Wake Forest season, ESPN listed him at 14.0 points, 4.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game, and earlier at Florida he proved he can carry a bigger scoring load, averaging 17.2 points and 5.6 assists in 2021-22.[2][4] The differentiator is pace and slipperiness—he’s a quick, experienced point guard who can organize an offense, pressure defenses off the dribble, and produce against strong competition; his pro path since Wake Forest also suggests a player teams trust to handle the ball and make reads.[1][3]
