a steady, physical SMU linebacker with proven tackling production
Hailey stood out as a dependable, high-effort linebacker for SMU, starting all 12 games in his final season and finishing third on the team with 56 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and a half-sack in the 2021 season. He profiles as a compact, active defender at 6-foot and around 194-205 pounds, with value rooted in consistency, toughness, and assignment reliability rather than flashy splash plays. If you want a linebacker who can handle volume, play with edge, and bring veteran steadiness, Hailey fits that mold well.
