Cedric Johnson brings SEC-tested pass-rush juice — but he’s an Ole Miss edge, not a Clark Atlanta QB
Cedric Johnson’s verified college profile is that of a disruptive defensive end, not a quarterback: at Ole Miss in the 2023 season, he logged 40 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and 3 pass breakups, with a career total of 19.0 sacks across 46 games. His calling card is burst off the edge, motor, and backfield production; the concern is fit, because the available reliable stats do not support him as a Clark Atlanta Panthers QB. If you’re looking for a twitchy pressure player with proven SEC experience, he’s intriguing — but at quarterback, this matchup doesn’t add up.
