Ben Johnson Brings Versatile Big-Play Juice to Grambling’s Backfield
Johnson profiles as a compact, productive **dual-threat RB** with proven explosiveness: at 5'9 and 175 pounds, he posted **977 rushing yards, 11 rushing TDs, and 347 receiving yards on 20 catches** in the 2023-24 cycle, signaling real value in both the run and pass game[2]. His differentiators are efficiency, receiving ability, and playmaking rather than pure power, making him a strong fit for an offense that wants a back who can create mismatches, stay on the field in multiple packages, and generate chunk plays without needing heavy volume[2].
