Austin Brown brings veteran, high-IQ linebacker energy to Maine
Austin Brown is a sturdy, productive Maine linebacker at 6-0, 235, with a track record of tackling production, playmaking flashes, and strong academic/locker-room credibility. In his earlier Maine seasons, he showed he can fill run gaps, finish plays, and chip in impact moments like tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery, and an interception, which hints at a downhill, instinctive style rather than just a body-count stat line. The best fit for him is a defense that values discipline, toughness, and reliability over flash.
