a versatile Fordham infielder still looking for his breakout
Forney enters the 2026-27 picture as a right-handed infielder from Pittsford, N.Y., with Fordham listing him as a freshman in 2026 and a sophomore on the 2027 roster, but his 2026 on-field sample was tiny: just two games and three at-bats with no hits. That makes him more of a “watch the development” player than a stat-sheet star right now. The appeal is projection—middle-infield versatility, local pedigree, and a clean runway to grow into a role at Fordham. If your team wants immediate production, he’s not that guy yet; if you want upside, he’s worth a glance.
