Nikia Cathey brings burst and versatility to App State’s backfield
Nikia Cathey is a compact, explosive Appalachian State back who was graded for speed and explosiveness coming out of high school, with 247Sports listing him at 5-foot-8, 175 pounds and giving him strong marks for burst and versatility. He’s the kind of player who can create value with pace and agility rather than pure power, which makes him intriguing in space and on special packages. Public stat pages show limited college production, so the real selling point is his athletic profile and multi-purpose upside rather than a heavy workload resume. If your team wants a quick, lively change-of-pace runner, he’s a fit.
