Kayla Cleaveland’s clutch shot-making and all-around freshman impact are giving Georgia Southern a legit frontcourt spark
In the 2025-26 season, Georgia Southern freshman forward Kayla Cleaveland has been a steady two-way contributor, averaging 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 16.9 minutes while shooting 40.1% from the field and 32.2% from three, with 31 games played and 20 starts.[9] Her signature moment came on Jan. 28, 2026, when she hit the game-winning three against Southern Miss, a nice little clue that she’s comfortable in the heat.[14] At 6-foot, she brings stretch-forward value, energy, and composure—useful for a team that wants a versatile, improving frontcourt piece.[13][15]
