Central Michigan DL Johnathan Berghorst brings size and early-career experience to the Chippewas' front
Berghorst is a **6-3, 285-pound** defensive lineman who has already seen game action for Central Michigan, including **4 games and 2 solo tackles** in 2018, and he was listed as a **Redshirt Freshman** on the CMU roster[2]. His appeal is less about box-score production and more about his frame, developmental upside, and in-state profile from Zeeland, which fits a team looking for a physically mature interior presence who can grow into a bigger role[1][2].
