Brandon Jensen brings hometown toughness to Iowa State’s defensive line
Brandon Jensen was a 6-5, 303-pound defensive lineman from Ankeny, Iowa, who arrived at Iowa State as a highly decorated in-state prospect, including 2009 Class 4A first-team all-state honors and a strong wrestling/track background that points to leverage, balance, and power.[7][15] Iowa State listings also show him as a redshirt senior on the defensive line, suggesting a veteran presence and a player valued for size and physicality over flash.[1] He looks like the kind of fit who can add grit, depth, and lunch-pail energy—more trench-fighter than highlight reel, which is exactly what good defensive fronts quietly love.[1][7]
