Aryan Patel is The Citadel’s gritty glue guy with speed, defense, and veteran savvy
In the 2026 season, Aryan Patel played in 59 games with 54 starts for The Citadel, posting 37 hits, 28 runs, 17 RBIs, 21 walks, and 21 stolen bases while leading the team with 11 sacrifice hits. He’s valuable because he brings versatility as a UTL/RHP, steady infield hands, and real game-changing baserunning juice; that 21-for-21 stolen-base season is a loud neon sign. The extra sparkle: he’s a senior captain, a high-academic award winner, and has a reputation for making loud, winning plays—like the No. 1 SportsCenter Top 10 double play.
