Matt Williams is a developmental Cal O-lineman with size, versatility, and background-driven toughness
Williams is more of an under-the-radar line project than a stat-sheet star, but his appeal is clear: Cal lists him as an offensive lineman who also saw work on the defensive line, and his background as a former rugby, soccer, and basketball player from England suggests balance, coordination, and a physical edge. His profile points to a player who brings versatility and grit rather than polished, finished-product traits, making him an intriguing fit for a team valuing development, athletic upside, and competitive toughness.
