Veteran lefty with brief 2026 flashes for Notre Dame
Evan Clark, a graduate-student LHP for Notre Dame in the 2026 season, brings pedigree and matchup value more than gaudy volume: he was a top-10 pitcher in Illinois and a top-5 left-handed pitcher in Florida as a prep, and he worked 2.1 innings for the Irish in 2026 with two strikeouts and a 7.71 ERA. He’s a compact 5-foot-11 southpaw who can get outs in relief, including a win and a strikeout in a shutout inning versus Milwaukee, making him a useful fit if a staff needs experienced left-handed depth and a competitive, strike-throwing arm.
