Walter Burnette brings steady, old-school power to Mississippi Valley State’s backfield
Walter Burnette is a physical, north-south runner for Mississippi Valley State whose profile is built on production and consistency rather than flash: ESPN lists him with 607 career rushing yards, 9 touchdowns, and 3.8 yards per carry, and he has also been used as a fullback, which suggests a trusted short-yardage, downhill role.[1] He’s the kind of back who can fit a team that values toughness, ball security, and reliable assignment football over speed-star theatrics.[1]
