2015 DB with Special Teams Grit, Honorable Mention Honors
Oscar Opara, a 2015 Iowa State DB (5'10", 180 lbs), differentiates through special teams intensity—playing 4 games with 3 tackles—and earned honorable mention recognition from Iowa Central CC. Though his 2015 stats show 0 INTs/FFs, his differentiator is raw hustle and reliability in non-starting roles, reflecting a personality built on grit over glamour. No injury history is recorded, and his intensity level stands high for a reserve. You should care because he’s a low-draft, high-effort DB who fits teams needing depth, special teams toughness, and a player who thrives without spotlight. Ideal for squads valuing resilience and unselfish contribution over flashy stats.
