Phatima McNary brings rebound-heavy guard play to Prairie View A&M
In the 2025-26 season, Phatima McNary has been a do-it-all guard for Prairie View A&M, averaging 9.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, which is a rare combo for a backcourt player[1]. At 5-foot-6, her value comes from toughness, activity, and an attack-the-glass mentality more than pure size, making her the kind of energetic, gritty fit coaches love when they want a guard who competes every possession[2].
