James Burrell brings Ivy League depth and versatility to Columbia’s receiver room
Burrell is a **junior wide receiver** at Columbia listed at 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, and his profile suggests a player whose value comes as much from reliability and development as from raw volume; in 2011, he recorded 1 catch for 9 yards in limited action, while his prep background includes all-district, all-region, all-metro, and academic honors, plus offensive MVP recognition. That mix points to a disciplined, coachable receiver with some all-around football polish rather than a pure stat-sheet star, so he makes the most sense for a team that values consistency, intelligence, and roster depth.[1]
