UConn’s Chad Wise: a low-usage guard still fighting for minutes
Chad Wise is a 6-5 UConn guard whose current production is modest, but he brings size for the backcourt and the kind of role-player profile that can matter on a deep roster. In the 2025-26 season, he averaged 1.1 points, 0.9 assists, and 0.3 rebounds in 3.9 minutes per game, with his best value likely coming from playing within structure rather than creating offense.[4] He looks like a fit for a team that needs a developmental guard with length, discipline, and a low-maintenance approach more than a high-usage scorer.[3][4]
