Marcus Saunders brings local scoring punch and developmental upside to Coastal Carolina
Marcus Saunders is a Myrtle Beach product who arrived at Coastal Carolina after averaging 21.1 points per game at Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach, and his appeal is his proven scoring confidence plus hometown familiarity with the program. In Coastal Carolina’s 2023-24 season, he saw action in six games and averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds per game, which suggests he is still translating high-school production into the college game. At 6-foot-2, he profiles as a guard with offensive upside; if you want a prospect who can grow into a shot-making role, he is worth watching.
