Chris Frey Jr. brings veteran linebacker grit, but this is a legacy-name mix-up
Chris Frey Jr. is listed as a former Michigan State linebacker, not a current Spartans player, so there’s no current-season performance to assess for 2026. His Michigan State profile shows he was a 6-2, 238-pound LB, and his college résumé was built on toughness, range, and steady production rather than flash; he later became a pro-level defender with CFL experience. If you want a dependable, physical linebacker archetype, he fits the mold—but as a current MSU target, this appears to be the wrong Chris Frey.
