Former two-way high school standout turned Coastal Carolina linebacker
Heft’s value is his athletic versatility and competitive edge: as a high school senior he ranked 38th in South Carolina in rushing with 1,192 yards and 10 touchdowns, while also contributing as a passer and receiver, which usually translates to good field awareness and toughness at linebacker. Coastal Carolina lists him as a linebacker, but public stat detail is limited, so the clearest takeaway is that he brings multi-sport-style playmaking traits, physicality, and upside rather than a long statistical résumé. He looks like a fit for teams wanting an adaptable, high-motor LB with room to develop.
