Big-bodied, high-volume veteran who can steady a passing attack
In the 2024 season, Spencer Petras gave Utah State a proven, experienced quarterback presence, throwing for 2,315 yards with 17 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 65.4% of his passes.[3][4][7] His calling card is size and command: at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, he can operate from the pocket, handle volume, and push the ball downfield, but the tradeoff has been inconsistency and a relatively modest yards-per-attempt profile.[11][3][7] If you want a seasoned distributor who can absorb snaps and keep an offense on schedule, he fits; if you need explosive improvisation, he’s less your guy.[10][13]
