Michael Martens brings size, savvy, and special-teams value to Fresno State’s receiver room
Martens is a big-bodied, experienced WR at 6-2, 205 who offers Fresno State a mature target with proven productivity and a team-first profile. In his pre-Fresno State career at Azusa Pacific, he logged 50 catches for 699 yards and 3 touchdowns, and at Fresno State he earned 11 game appearances in 2015 while even contributing on special teams, including a fumble recovery on punt coverage. His differentiators are versatility, reliability, and football IQ rather than flashy volume, making him a fit for a staff that values dependable route-running, toughness, and assignment discipline over pure highlight speed.[1]
